Location:

Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland and it’s the largest city too. The city has a population 335,000 people.

Culture:

There’s a fair amount of culture around the city of Belfast, whether that be spending your time at the Ulster Museum which is open from 10:00 am until 17:00 pm, or at the Irish Republican History Museum or SS Nomadic all of which is great for anyone who is interested in topping up their Northern Irish history!

There are a fair few cinemas in the city and they all come fairly highly recommended, the local Odeon Cinema and Odyssey Cinemas will be the most well-known and the city’s local cinema The Movie House, is a great place to go and watch films too.

Nightlife:

Belfast’s nightlife is one of the best for a reason. There are bustling nightclubs in the centre of the city and loads of cool bars and pubs to watch sport, which would be expected with universities like Queen’s University, Belfast and University of Ulster with huge sporting numbers through their variety of teams.

Activities:

Belfast plays host to a number of different and very cool festivals within the city, one of which is the Belfast Film Festival, which has been going since 1995, the festival has seen a number of films premiered at the festival for directors like Kenneth Branagh and Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D'Sa. The city plays host to the festival every year and has seen some of the cream of British cinema come and start their careers off the back of a number of very cool films.

Transport:

There’s a tram system that runs through the capital, there are a number of train stations and the city also plays host to two international airports such as Belfast International Airport and the George Best International Airport.
